All ABoard Educators' mission is to drastically reduce the time needed to make teachers' classrooms welcoming, informative, and instructive while allowing teachers to focus on their tasks when at work. We strive to help teachers protect their time outside of work. All ABoard Educators gives teachers options and choices.
All ABoard Educators operates with the purpose of showing the hospitality of Christ by the way our products welcome others to a space while allowing our customer to put their time and God-given gifts and talents toward what they have been called to.
When Kiersten was a tiny human she knew she wanted to be a teacher. She had her very own play classroom and spent hours pretend teaching her younger brother or stuffed animals. Both Kiersten's parents were teachers, and as she got older, she got to help her parents set up their bulletin boards. This was tiring work and took hours, days, WEEKS that could have been spent elsewhere! She wanted to have a classroom of her own someday but knew there had to be a better way to decorate her bulletin boards, as well as keep them on theme in a practical way. When she could not find the solution, she created it, and All ABoard Educators was born.
At the beginning of the 2022-23 school year, Kiersten had an idea and a class before her. She took the business plan competition class at Grace College and was mentored by SCORE mentors, her parents, community members, her professors, and other staff and faculty on campus. Kiersten spent the fall writing a business plan for All ABoard Educators and competed in November 2023. She won the competition, and her idea on paper turned to a business reality.
Currently, Kiersten is ecstatic to be able to serve the community of educators that give so much to their students, communities, and profession by giving them a choice to spend less time decorating their bulletin boards.
Hello! I am Kiersten Martin. I am studying elementary education, entrepreneurship, and higher education at Grace College! I also play tennis and served as Student Body President of Grace College.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to be a teacher. Both my parents are incredible educators, so I have grown up with incredible role models in the field. This also allowed me to have a very realistic classroom in my basement from the time I was a young girl. My younger brother became my student, and my homework for the day became his lesson. I LOVED playing school. In high school, I found a love for business but also still wanted to be a teacher. I did not at the time know how to intersect these two passions.
I am looking to become a kindergarten teacher and am currently a substitute teacher in my local community while on breaks from college. I plan on using All ABoard Educators bulletin board decor in my future classroom!
